'Heightism - The Last Bastion of Discrimination 'was the webmaster's original essay originally written for the site www.shortsupport.org.  Almost 9 years have gone by since the writing of that essay and everything true then is even more true now.   Some examples of heightism would be:  Korean men being refused for dating services because they are labeled as un-marriable, A former Minor League Baseball pitcher being manhandled and worked like a puppet by a much bigger teammate, sportscasters labeling short athletes, Gary Coleman abused by parents and spouse alike - and also the media,  A television show highlighting the Tall hosted by a convicted criminal  with a wooden facsimile of a famous short actor to be denigrated, comedians on TV lambasting the short in ways no group would tolerate, TV commercials depicting the short as objects of scorn and laughter, women disparaging short men and viewing them as a notch above murderers - the list goes on and on.  Here is the essay:
